Supervised Exchange Services:
Supervised Exchange Services, also known as safe exchange services, are services that allow parents to exchange children in a safe and monitored environment. A neutral third party is present to oversee the exchange, and the parents are usually not allowed to see each other.
Supervised Exchange Services are often ordered by a court or other agency when there is a risk to the child or other parent. They can also be agreed upon by the parents without going to court.
Supervised Exchange Services are different from supervised visitation, which is when a non-custodial parent has contact with their child in the presence of a third party.
Supervised visitation is designed to protect the child from being left along with a parent who may be a risk, while supervised exchange is designed to protect both parents from each other.
